October 18, 2024 Lower South

Within previous weeks, many lessons and topics have been introduced to students. This week the children in both Lower classrooms were presented with a new zoology lesson. Stemming from the prior invertebrates work on the shelf, students are able to uncover the world of insects! Perhaps the largest numbered species on Earth, children will be able to learn a variety of insects from grasshoppers to beetles to butterflies. They will discover the parts of these insects along with their life cycles. In addition, students will learn popular facts about each insect they explore. This zoology unit full of creepy crawlers and mysterious flying bugs is a sure favorite for Lower Elementary learners!

To our families, a gentle reminder that conferences are next Thursday and Friday. We look forward to meeting with all of you to discuss your child’s progress so far this school year. (:

Have a wonderful weekend,

The Lower Team
