In honor of Cinco De Mayo, we read a book about this Holiday and enjoyed tasting tortilla chips with salsa and homemade guacamole! The children have also been working on special Mother day projects. Happy Mother’s day to all the wonderful women in our community! Our food preparation work this week was making a bean burrito! Children used skills such as scooping, spreading, tonging, and rolling to create this delicious food! Hanging clothes on a hanger was our Practical Life lesson this week to continue in the home! For a fun multi-step sensory work we explored shaving cream on a table which also incorporates all the cleaning up skills we have learned throughout the school year. Our special end of the year movement work is one of our favorites! Jumping on a trampoline! We also got to hear all about Miss Kayla’s trip with the Middle schoolers to Washington, D.C., and celebrated her birthday! Some of our toddler friends came to visit our classroom for their “moving up” day as well!
