We had a busy week! Our next Geography unit was all about our universe! We are learning about the planets, solar system, the moon, and the sun. Creating constellations and moon prints were very popular works! Our new science unit was studying landforms. We identified and discussed a variety of landforms and what type of animals can be found around each. We added our blue balance disc for an extra movement challenge of sitting or standing while on the disc. Students refined their tonging skills by tweezing lavender from the stems. We will save the lavender to use later. Flower arranging was also introduced as they use artificial flowers to place into a vase. Transferring work continued in practical life as the children transferred water using droppers. This allows practice for real flowers. In art, we used forks to create tulip flower art as well! The children have been diligently checking the soil of their grass and watering. This week we used scissors to “cut grass” and then take them home to continue plant care!
