We began the week with the Kindergarten field trip to Wintergarden Park. This is a wonderful time exploring prairie and wooded trails and looking for tadpoles in the wetlands! Thank you to all our drivers. We also introduced one of our final culmination practical life lessons, making cinnamon bread! This work integrates many of the practical life skills we have worked on all year, including measuring, transferring solids and liquids, pouring, stirring, and scooping, kneading, and following a recipe; in addition, it reinforces the skills of concentration, coordination, confidence, independence and order. In science we began the study of landforms, exploring different shapes, their locations and unique characteristics. Shaving cream on a table was explored in our practical life area, while river rocks were added to the movement shelf. What a busy, beautiful week!
