Can you believe it’s the beginning of March already? Things are just flying by.
This week, the Middle School students began working hard on their Independent Novel Study. A wide variety of books was chosen, from John Green’s, Turtles All The Way Down to Holes, by Louis Sachar to The Red Queen, by Victoria Aveyard. It’s a whirlwind of vocabulary, character profiles, cover art, and plot outlines.
In History, we are discussing the technological innovations that allowed Americans to “Go West, Young Man” (Horace Greeley), the reasons they wanted to do so, and the complications that abounded in the process.
In Science, we are studying speed and acceleration, as well as the necessary math and graphing that goes with it.
We are also in the throws of developing our microeconomy and planning our Spring Excursion to Mammoth Cave National Park.
Important Upcoming Dates:
March 8: Professional Development Day- No School
March 11: Band Lobby Performance during pick-up
