We introduced how to identify nouns in our classroom environment, and it is always fun to watch what students notice and write on their lists! In practical life, we demonstrated banana slicing, using a special slicer. Students could prepare this food and then enjoy eating. Also in practical life, we introduced yarn snipping and the special unit Locks and Keys. In sensorial, we added the rest of our bells forming the entire C scale. This auditory work refines the child’s ear to sound differences and is a peaceful, beautiful Montessori work. The study of Time was our new Math unit this week, allowing the children to explore analog and digital clocks, how to tell and set time and introduced quarter and half times.
