We continue to move forward with new lessons and continue to build our classroom community. Montessori education focuses on the whole child, so while we have academic lessons, we also work just as diligently on peer interactions and conflict resolution.
The Wood County Parks visited us on Tuesday in coordination with our Botany Unit. We walked through our woods and discussed trees, local wildlife and were able to gain some knowledge on the woods surrounding us. Do you know what color of berries is harmful to humans?
We have expanded our work on the Geography shelf this week also. We continue to study land and water forms while adding maps with control cards to test what the students have learned about the land and water forms and their ability to follow directions.
