The season of Autumn is here! Happy Fall! As we discussed this new season, our science unit reflects leaves and trees. We will be studying the different kinds of leaves, trees, and identifying parts of a leaf and tree. We enjoyed a fall hike this week as well and completed some fun tree rubbings outdoors! We continued exploring nature in Practical Life as students tweezed sunflowers. Floor sweeping was also shown in practical life, a necessary skill for caring and cleaning our environment. Color box 2 was added to the sensorial shelf for color matching all the color tablets. Our first geometric solids were also shown and identified through the vocabulary of the cube, cone, sphere, cylinder, and rectangular prism. Numerical rods were demonstrated in math. This work mirrors the red rods sensorially, but are red and blue striped to add a quantity to each rod. (1-10). We have been learning about colors and ended the week with a fun color experiment! Be sure to ask your child about it!
