This week, students studied light in Science and got to do their lesson and follow up in the dark! In Biology, 5th years are researching a plant they are interested in growing. In history, we studied migration; in language, we studied comma splices and sentence fragments. Two students have been excited about geography lately; this week, they made flag sorts for Europe and Asia. Another has been passionate about Spanish and is offering lessons and help to interested students. A fifth-year loved her geometry lesson and made card sorts for congruent, similar, and equivalent shapes. Fourth years have been working on a newspaper called Weekly Woods News to update everyone on happenings in the woods. Hopefully, by next week, their first publication will be ready! Quite a few students have been excited about One Book BG and already finished Enginerds! It’s been a fun week, and we’re looking forward to many more to come.
