October 24, 2025 Lower North

Even though it was a short week, there was still a lot happening in the classroom.  Students are focusing on completing a work cycle each day.

For geometry, the third-year students were introduced to the first nomenclature packet. This nomenclature covers the basic concepts of a point, line, plane, and solid.

We have also added singular and plural nouns to our grammar shelf. The lesson demonstrates how singular means one, while more than one or several of one object, means plural. As grammar lessons continue throughout the year, we hope to see these lessons transfer over into their writing in other areas of the classroom, specifically Writers Workshop.

As teachers, we always look forward to meeting with all our parents during conferences. It is especially important now since we don’t get to see many of you on a regular basis. We want to work together to help the children succeed. If we haven’t met with you yet, we look forward to sharing your child’s progress with you.

Enjoy the long weekend!
