November 1, 2024 EC East

Fun pumpkin exploration was a large part of our week in EC!  We began with pounding tees into a pumpkin and introducing the spooky sensory bowl.  On the art shelf, we drew faces on a pumpkin with markers and created spider web art. We also introduced pin punching to the classroom, a fine motor pre-writing work that aims to refine their pincer grasp, hand-eye coordination, concentration and hand strength. Our kindergarten students were able to have their first field trip to the Pumpkin Peddler while our younger friends searched for little pumpkins around the school property. Holiday activities concluded with carving a pumpkin, a pumpkin experiment, and our Harvest Party! Thank you so much to all our parents who donated to drive, donate pumpkins and/or their time during our party – it has been a wonderful week!
