Our new science unit this week was learning about life cycles!  We explored many hands-on works including models of life cycles of a butterfly, ladybug, chicken, and a sea turtle.  We investigated how tadpoles turn into frogs, made booklets of different animals, and made play dough models of life cycle stages.  Sensorially, we explored puzzles and even colored pasta representing the stages of a butterfly.  Our new sensorial unit was smelling. In practical life, we added lavender tweezing and using a funnel, which helps refine fine motor skills, lengthen concentration, and prepare the children for writing activities.  We also taste tested chips, salsa and guacamole!
