What a busy week! Our new geography unit was all about the continent of Asia. We explored countries of Asia, animals, clothing, Chinese writing, famous places, foods and more cultural characteristics! Our new science unit was about birds! We learned parts of a bird, types of birds, and labeled parts of a bird. We also listened to 99 different bird songs on our music player! Food preparation this week involved making a strawberry spinach salad! The students sliced strawberries, tonged spinach and poured dressing for a refreshing and tasty dish! Table scrubbing was introduced, incorporating multi-step practical like skills to help clean our environment! We also explored more water lessons by using a dropper to transfer water onto tiny soap holder suction mats, and did a science experiment on sink and float! Students guessed what objects could sink and which would float when placed in a tub of water! Some of our toddler friends had their “moving up” days this week and we welcomed them to our classroom and showed them some works!
