Hi families!

We’ve had a great week in our classroom. Our third-year students celebrated Move Up Day with enthusiasm and creativity, from engaging work time to a vibrant Mardi Gras presentation complete with Pączkis. Who could forget the lesson on Ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses, which left everyone intrigued and a little spooked! Sixth years enjoyed their visit to Middle School today and even got to help with the cafe!

Looking ahead, our students are excitedly preparing for the upcoming Brown Bag event. They have chosen to cook homemade chicken noodle soup, freshly baked bread, and a dessert. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community as we plan to serve a hot meal to about 200 members of BG on Wednesday, April 2nd. We will cook at school in the days leading up to the event and then meet at Brown Bag from 5:00 to 6:30 pm on April 2nd to help distribute food. We will gather in front of Brown Bag. Adults are welcome to stay or drop off kids and return for pick-up at 6:30 pm.

Get ready to celebrate Pi Day a bit early this year! Instead of the traditional March 14th, our festivities will take place next Wednesday, March 12th. We have an exciting day planned, featuring a Pi recitation contest, sharing clever Pi jokes, a brief exploration of Archimedes’ contributions, and plenty of delicious pie. If you’d like to contribute, feel free to bring a pie—whether it’s a classic favorite or a creative twist, all flavors are welcome.

We can’t wait to share these memorable moments with you and our community. Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to another wonderful week ahead!
