We continued our polishing skills in practical life as we polished a ceramic bunny! Our new food preparation work was peeling and slicing a hard-boiled egg! In geography, the next continent study was all about Africa! We discovered what types of lands, places, countries, people, and animals are found in Africa! For some fun spring themed art, students paper punched spring shapes using strips of paper. They also used a white crayon to design an egg and then water colored over it to see their design show through! For a peace activity we introduced building a rock cairn. Color box 4 was added to the Sensorial shelf which grades the colors from dark to light in a “sunburst” pattern. We ended the week with a fun egg hunt and used water and tissue paper to experiment “dying” eggs.
