March 13, 2026 – EC East

This week we began with a new math unit, Money. Lessons included learning the names and values of coins and bills while integrating real money and cooperative games. The Snake game was also introduced to the math shelf,  teaching linear counting, reinforcing the exchanging procedure and preparing the child for addition. The exploration of Pressure and using the Montessori pressure cylinders was our new Sensorial unit.  These cylinders provide experiences in pairing and grading degrees of pressure and allowing the students to sense the difference in resistance pressure. Sifting sand and wood polishing were added to Practical Life – both lessons honing patience, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. In food preparation, students had the opportunity to slice cucumbers and enjoy as a healthy, self-prepared snack!

We hope to see YOU at our school’s Strike for Safety Bowling Fundraiser at Al Mar Lanes from 2:00pm-6:00pm on Saturday.
