Early childhood introduced two new science units this week! East studied animal tracks as they watched the snowfall outside and West discovered items that were magnetic or non-magnetic. Speaking of snow, a winter snow scene, cutting a snowflake and positive/negative snowman were additional art works and concepts explored. Both classrooms added the cubing chains to the bead cabinet to find the cube of the numerals 1-10. A new food preparation work was also shown; pulling string cheese!
The East classroom also showed sensorial and practical life works including: the triangle box, trinomial cube, and transferring pennies into a bank. The West classroom’s Sensorial works included the cube of the trinomial, large hexagon box, and the damper for the bell. They also showed bouncing on the exercise¬†ball in movement and a fun liquid tile in the peace corner.
