This week, we had many Sensorial works, including color box 3 for grading colors into light, medium, and dark. The geometric cabinet drawers were all open for exploration and vocabulary of the names of shapes. The large hexagon box was shown, introducing the hexagon, rhombus, and parallelogram. In practical life, the students used knives to practice slicing wooden foods and learned how to lace a string through wooden frames for sewing preparation. Folding washcloths and rolling socks were also skills they practiced. We extended the metal insets by using two insets to further our patterns, lines, and designs. Our new movement lesson was using the sit and spin. The Kindergartners had their field trip on Friday to Jack and Doe’s to learn all about making pizza!
