In Early Childhood West we painted a pumpkin at the Easel and polished gourds for some fun, seasonal work! Tray sweeping was introduced, a more refined area from floor sweeping to practice care of the environment. Students were able to sweep plastic ants! The first water lesson was also shown; sponge squeezing. Students use both hands to squeeze water out of a sponge over a large bowl of water. The triangle box was added to the sensorial shelf as well. This work allows the child to explore a variety of triangles to make large congruent triangles. The quiet rug was also shown. Children can take this special rug anywhere in the classroom and practice sitting still and being quiet while on the rug, allowing them to identify inner peace, deep breathing, and observational skills. Thank you for taking the time to join us at conferences. We enjoyed spending time sharing your child’s progress and growth with you!
