Fun pumpkin exploration was a large part of our week in EC! We began with polishing gourds in practical life, tray sweeping ants and washers on a pumpkin. In math we added the memory game, a two-person activity that helps develop memory and concentration skills, as well as problem-solving and cognitive abilities. Color box II and the geometric cabinet demonstration tray were introduced in sensorial. Name-tracing was added to our pre-writing shelf. On Tuesday, we read a special book on Diwali that was donated by a family from our classroom. It was a wonderful exploration and discussion into a cultural tradition. Lastly, table scrubbing was introduced. This favorite practical life work teaches the child concentration, coordination, and responsibility through a step-by-step process of cleaning a table.
Thank you to all the parents for attending conferences!
