October 17, 2025 Lower South

This week has brought more lessons and units of exploration for the students to study! Zooming into culture,  invertebrates were put away, and students were introduced to the exciting unit of ocean animals on our zoology shelf. Students are now investigating various areas of the ocean, ocean animals, and how such animals survive in the ocean. Our geography work was also switched from land/water forms to exploring all of the features of maps and the cardinal directions.

Fractions have been introduced and students are busily delving into identification, order (biggest to smallest), equivalent fractions, and more. There has also been much excitement for the 3rd graders as they had their first Imaginary Island lesson on Monday and are working on follow-up activities throughout the week. We can’t wait to see all of the continued hard work, normalization, and learning that is occurring in our classroom!

Have an amazing weekend,

The Lower Team
