November 22, 2024 Lower South

We are in the final weeks of November and Fall is in the air. Anticipation for the upcoming holidays, family gatherings and hopefully some relaxation is right around the corner. We hope to see you this Saturday for the downtown holiday parade;)

In the classroom, we have narrowed our focus from Insects to Bees on our Zoology shelf. The students are learning the parts of a bee, the life cycle and other interesting facts about the importance of bees.
In celebration of Thanksgiving, the students will spend time next week preparing for our feast that we will have on Tuesday. Our 3rd year students will shop for the ingredients, while others will help set up the tables, cut vegetables, make dessert, and clean up after our feast. It is tradition that both lower elementary classrooms eat together on this day. Remember if your child would like more than what is being served, or prefer something different, please send them in with their lunch.
Our History shelf is providing Lower South students the opportunity to practice the days of the week, while Lower North is now learning the months of the year.
We wish you a safe and happy weekend.
