We began the week celebrating Miss Brenda’s birthday! Students used our golden bead material to build and discover her age as she traveled around the sun! Many works this week reflected practical life skills leading into our community gathering and feast. These works included silverware sorting, rolling napkins, table setting, using a baster, and folding washcloths. Students also rolled and matched socks. A skill they can implement in the home as well! Our art shelf presented festive works like creating a turkey by tracing your hand, and using tissue paper to create a cornucopia. Students also worked on creating centerpieces by transferring feathers into a turkey, and plastic food into a cornucopia. We are reflecting on what we are thankful for! On Friday, we made applesauce! Thank you for bringing in apples! Each child got to help peel, cut, and mash them to be cooked. We will enjoy eating this at our feast next week! We also had the Wood County Hospital come to our school and do a presentation called “Peace Out!” This program focuses on relaxation, focusing, and recentering through various breathing and visualization techniques.
