This week, we reflect on friends, family, and what we are thankful for. The children brought home a special thankful for project they have been working on. We learned about the cornucopia this week and transferred fruits and vegetables to fill it. Real turkey feathers were explored and arranged in a turkey basket. As we practiced our skills for feast preparation, our practical life shelf was filled with works that included setting a place at the table, napkin folding and rolling with napkin rings, sorting silverware, and using a baster. Our food prep this week was making yogurt parfaits using vanilla yogurt, Cheerios, and Craisins. We also began making our applesauce for our Early Childhood feast next week. Thank you for bringing in your apple! Each child had the opportunity to use an apple peeler, slicer, and chopped the apples to go into the crockpot. Our room was filled with the smell of warm apples and cinnamon! We also celebrated Miss Brenda’s birthday this week and the children used our math materials to build her age!
