We can’t believe it is March already! This week we had a new science unit all about rocks and minerals. Students discovered a variety of rock types and their characteristics. Practical Life lessons included polishing wooden objects and learning how to fasten toggles on the dressing frame. Our food preparation this week was preparing and eating a pancake! From spreading butter, pouring syrup, and using a fork and knife to cut the pancake, this was a favorite and delicious work. The last cube was added to the sensorial shelf; the trinomial cube. Thin line cards were added to the geometric cabinet, completing the card extensions for matching the two-dimensional shapes. Our Kindergartners had an amazing field trip to Imagination Station as well, thank you to all the parents who volunteered as drivers and chaperones.
