Our class has been enjoying the warmer weather this week! As Spring weather approaches, we introduced the rainstick as a soothing sound in the peace corner. Building a rock cairn was also introduced as a calming activity to reflect on one’s journey and travels. Our new math unit was all about addition. Students used a variety of materials and tools to add two smaller numerals that would equal a larger one. Food preparation was slicing cucumbers! In Sensorial we used our sense of touch to discover different pressures with our pressure cylinders. Practical Life skills included learning how to swaddle a baby doll and change a baby doll’s diaper. Older siblings can help with this in the home if they have a baby sibling! We are looking forward to our Strike for Safety Spring Fundraiser on Saturday and hope to see you there!
