Welcome back from Winter Break and Happy New Year! We began the week reviewing our classroom responsibilities and sharing about our holidays. Bouncing on the exercise ball was a fun, new movement lesson for our core! New sensorial and math units were introduced this week. Sound and no sound was explored using our sense of hearing. Our new math unit was all about measurement. Measuring in inches, centimeters, and grams were explored within these works to determine how long, short, or how much something weighs. In Practical Life, self-care baskets were out to allow students to practice putting on snow pants, gloves, and mittens. A much needed skill during the winter season! Pulling string cheese was our food preparation work this week. Art projects included using a coffee filter to cut and design a snowflake and tracing a snowflake.
