This week, we wrapped up homework project presentations, and they were terrific! So much hard work went into these passion projects. Thank you for all of your help in making our projects a success. Below are pictures and a list of what everyone worked on. Students can begin thinking about their next Homework Projects whenever they are ready.
Homework Project Presentations
Matthew: Rock Climbing, including practice at a climbing gym.
Elliot: Building a computer. You read that right- he built his own computer!
Ian: Planning a trip (time, money, stops) with plans to go on the trip in the spring.
Boudi: Researching Carnivorous Plants! We now have a Mexican Butterwort in the class for everyone to enjoy.
Nash: Making Money! He did everything from babysitting to losing money selling Pokemon cards. He had reflections and evaluations for each of his attempts. His final conclusion was to wait until Christmas or your birthday to get money.
Ronan: Origami! He even created an impressive “how to” video.
Theo: Finding a passion for Canjos, making five of them, and then learning to play them.
Ella: Making a selling soap! She had a Soap Stand at her family farm and made $150. They smell and look amazing!
Max: Max researched his family tree! He has an incredible timeline in the hallway dating back generations.
Lukas: Researching Germany!
Vivian: Sewing her own clothes! She even made her own patterns.
Jasmine: Making a claymation video!
Julian: Cardboard creations and researching different types of cardboard.
Collin: Researching the Dunkleosteus, an armored megafish from the Devonian period. He even created a replica.
Gavin: Learning about grafting plants and trying to do his own!
Kennedy: Learning how to make balloon animals. I’m trying to convince her to hire out her services for parties.
Luna: Making bracelets. She had lots of great tutorials on complicated designs.
Keira: Woodworking! She even made a box!
Nora: She learned sign language! Thanks to Nora, we have been doing the pledge of allegiance in the morning in sign language.
Molly: Baking! She even made a delicious pumpkin roll to share with the class.
