It has been a nice return to a more “normal” week without any crazy winter weather! The students have enjoyed their shorter weeks, but have been displaying normalization in the classroom. There has been much excitement about being in school for 100 days already and celebrating all they have learned.
Students are continuing their math, language, and culture work. Synonyms have been introduced on the word study shelf, drawing focus to words that have similar meanings. Reptiles are now available for exploration on the zoology shelf, with many showing fascination with these animals such as snakes and turtles. The Lower classrooms have also switched the work on their Math Unit Shelves, with Lower South now exploring time and Lower North exploring money.
Looking ahead, our Valentine’s Day Exchange is on Wednesday, February 11. We sent home a class list on a piece of colored paper, so please ensure that if you send any Valentines in, they are labeled with each student’s name.
Have a great weekend,
The Lower Team
