What a busy week in Early Childhood! As we approach the holiday season, we studied the cultural traditions and customs of Hanukkah. We explored a menorah, the dreidel game, and creating the star of David on the easel. We also began exploring our second cultural study of the holiday season, which included all the beautiful colors and traditions of Kwanzaa. Children had the opportunity to explore a weaving mat and bead stringing, a Mancala game and a special Kinara art project. In practical life, we decorated a cookie – always a favorite activity this time of year! We also continued to practice building a collage using various paper punches and paper mediums.
