Hello again!
This week in the Adolescent Program, we are firing on all cylinders. Let’s start with our core curriculum.
In Science, we will learn how elements bond to form molecules and ionic compounds. This follows an experiment wherein we saw how various substances react with heat (fire), water, and oxygen. The resounding favorite was the beautiful green glow of Copper Chloride.
In Math and Geometry, some students are focused on manipulating variables and exponents while others are determining the surface area and volume of regular prisms with triangle, square, pentagonal, hexagonal, and octagonal faces.
Our literature, Ghost Boys, is hitting everyone in the feels, sparking conversation and a variety of artistic interpretations.
A few students have chosen to extend their work from National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) into the editing and proofreading stage. Look forward to published works.
Our Baking elective got a boost from Ms. Brynn Bostic as the children learned about Cottage Food Regulations and Product Labeling, all while making some delicious cake pops, which…
…will most likely be available at Mustang Cafe during our first AFTERNOON test run! Stop by the lobby of the school from 2:45 to 3:30 (during pick-up) on Wednesday, December 18th for a sweet mid-afternoon treat and a warm-up beverage!
