May 22, 2026 – Lower North

This week we are truly winding down from the school year and working on closing our classroom community.  The children are working on scrubbing and cleaning the classroom chairs and tables.  They are also scrubbing slipper boxes, book bins, and some shelves.  As the week goes by they will be bringing home items that they will no longer need for the last few days of school. This time of year is always bittersweet.

Along with all the cleaning, we enjoyed a few fun themed days. On Monday, it was Game Day. Tuesday was LEGO Day. On Wednesday, students participated in Light and Sound Experiments and enjoyed reading their favorite book. Lastly, we finished the week with the third year students presenting their Imaginary Island projects to their classmates. This is a big accomplishment, we are proud of what they have done.

Finally, we would like to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day.  Although we have a couple days left after this “beginning of summer weekend”, it is a good time to spend with family and honor those who have sacrificed their lives for our country.
