We started the week off enjoying our school’s band concert, the children always love watching and hearing the instruments. Geography lessons included reviewing the entire world and continents and then exploring our universe! These lessons included learning about our solar system, planets, moons, constellations, and galaxies! In observance of Cinco De Mayo we read books and used our sense of taste to eat tortilla chips, salsa, and guacamole. Our Food preparation this week was also making a bean burrito! Students spooned and spread refried beans onto a tortilla shell, tonged cheese, rolled it up and enjoyed this yummy dish! We also created a Zen Garden for a cultural peace activity and “packed a suitcase” for a fun practical life activity! Our class worked on a very special Mother’s Day project; Happy Mothers Day to all our families!
