January 23, 2026 – Upper Elementary

Hello,

Here are the highlights from this week:

1. The forms to request preferred times for conferences are due by Friday, January 30th.

2. The second semester round of homework projects will start after the conferences, February 16th-May 1st.  More information to come.

3. NO SCHOOL for students on Feb. 12th and 13th (due to conferences), however, Upper students will attend with their adult for the conference appointment due to them being student-led. Full-day extended care will be made available to families.

4. NO SCHOOL Feb. 16th due to President’s Day.

5. Students will be starting their new literature circles books: Max and Me and the Time Machine, Runaway Ralph, The Phantom Tollbooth, and From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.

6. Friendly reminder, to have students bring snow gear and extra clothes in case they need them after winter recess time.
