Our first math unit was introduced this week on the concept of greater than, less than, and equal to; also known as equality and inequality. We learned about the “Greedy Duck” always wanting more to help recognize the symbols when discriminating which number is larger. In Practical Life, pounding work was explored. This work allows the child to safely explore a hammer to pound golf tees into clay or tacks into corkboard. The next dressing frame was also added; the button frame to help with the task of buttoning our clothes. Our next food preparation work was plucking grapes off a vine! The body sock was added to the movement shelf where the child can get into a fabric cloth for a calming experience and gentle stretching.
