A short, but lesson-filled week! Students continue to learn about the use of positive and negative space within an art project. This was represented through cutting out and gluing both snowmen to paper. In Sensorial, the binomial cube was added to the shelf and a new unit on smelling was introduced. By using their olfactory sense, the children matched a variety of scents to one another or to a picture of that scent. Odd and Even was a new math concept learned this week recognizing that numbers can have a “partner” to be even or odd, using counters for visual representation. In Practical Life, pouring skills were explored through using a funnel to now pour material from a large opening to a smaller one.
