September 30, 2022, Toddler

This week our class continued to work on Practical Life Skills. In Montessori, Practical Life skills help to develop motor control and coordination. It also helps to develop independence, concentration, and a sense of responsibility. This sponge work activity helps prepare toddlers to work with pencils by strengthening their fine motor muscles in their fingers and hands. Working with the sponge and transferring water from one bowl to another strengthens their muscles and will help with pre-writing skill development.
