Welcome to the first full week of school for Early Childhood! Our students are enjoying learning everyone’s names, practicing our routines in the classroom, and exploring many new materials. This week, we introduced several Sensorial works, including the knobbed and knobless cylinders and the pink tower. These works entice the child to explore dimension as well as strengthen visual discrimination skills. On the math shelves, students could explore self-correcting 1-10 number works and cards and counters. Our grace and courtesy lessons this week included the polite way to interrupt and also how to use the peace rose for conflict resolution. Additionally, we opened our movement shelf with our first work, walking on a line.
