Early Childhood continued adding work to our Sensorial and Practical Life areas this week. Our red rods and color box one works were added and children explored color, length, and coordination. We also added clipping clothespins, a work that refines fine motor skills as well as supports our foundational skills of order, concentration, and coordination. We also added cutting clay, introducing the proper way to utilize scissors. Our classrooms collected and painted our peace sticks to be added to our bundle in the peace corner, representing each individual in our community. Additionally, we added more movement work to the shelf, hopping from spot to spot! This allows movement breaks throughout the day as the children choose to use the work.
