This week in Upper Elementary, students studied the Universe and are working on 3-D examples of everything from the Earth’s place in the Solar System to types of particles. In history, we examined the Incas and Mayans. Next week, we have a guest speaker from the Wood County Museum to share Native American of Ohio artifacts. In math, students are working on addition, rounding, dynamic subtraction, one-digit divisors, and two-digit divisors. This week’s writing focused on details and language, which moved into sentence analysis and singular and plural nouns. Phew! Busy week! Thank you again for all you do at home. We appreciate all the help with work, discussions about their day, and communication with teachers.
