Back in the swing of our routines and Montessori procedures! Its been a busy week learning about apples and the season of fall! We are learning apple songs and finger plays during line time. Together we chopped, stirred and measured to make applesauce. We are taking advantage of the wonderful weather and doing our pouring, whisking and spooning work outside. Geometry is introduced in the toddler classroom, shape recognition and peg work are two of the works used to learn about geometry. Pictured above Malcolm is working on the circle puzzle and learning about the concept of small, medium and large. Mason uses the pegs and peg board then counts the pegs. Aeris is pictured painting a paper plate that will be made into an apple. Art is super fun for the toddlers and allows for a creative outlet! Art experiences help build fine motor skills as well.
