Wood County is currently classified as LOW COVID-19 COMMUNITY LEVEL.

According to the Wood County Health Department, the CDC has provided new guidelines to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on local COVID cases and hospitalizations. The new guidelines use the following measures to classify each county’s COVID level as low, medium, or high.
  • The number of weekly new COVID cases per 100,000 people

  • The number of new COVID hospitalizations per 100,000 people

  • The percent of hospital beds used by COVID patients

Precautions are recommended for each level.
