We enjoyed many pumpkin works this week! Children transferred rings onto a pumpkin stem, placed rubber bands over the lined pattern of a pumpkin, pounded golf tees into a pumpkin, and drew a face on a pumpkin using markers! More practical life work, including tray sweeping and polishing gourds! Our new science unit this week was about living and non-living. We talked about the characteristics of a living thing as we observed Ruby, the guinea pig from the East class! Everyone had the opportunity to pet Ruby. Children had fun labeling works in the classroom of things that were living or non-living. We added name tracing to our writing shelf for further handwriting practice. The binomial cube was added to the sensorial shelf. Our class also enjoyed a fire safety presentation and was able to see a fire truck!
