In the Lower Elementary classroom, Zoology is a favorite among the students because many are interested in the natural world. We follow our study of living things by following the Timeline of Life that was introduced with the Second Great Lesson. We have completed our study of invertebrates and have moved on to the study of fish, the first group of vertebrates. Students will explore the parts of a fish, the characteristics of a fish, and different types of fish. Older students will begin doing individual research on various fish they find interesting.
October has brought on some cooler weather. Please help your child remember to have appropriate outdoor gear. We go out daily as long as it is not raining to enjoy the cooler weather and the sunshine we may have.Have a good weekend.
