Fall is in the air and the autumn breezes are blowing! So far this October we have enjoyed many pumpkin and leaf related activities and work! In our science and nature area children explore leaves, pumpkins, sunflowers and gourds. We talk about textures of the gourdes and pumpkins, helping to enrich the children’s vocabulary. Many of our fall books have counting and rich language. Children used pumpkins this week for scrubbing, which is a practical life work! Other practical life work is pouring and bead stringing among many others.
Later in the month we will enjoy searching for pumpkins in the garden and other fall festivities. Please be sure to bring back your conference forms with roughly the day and time that you would need. Wishing you all a fun fall season!
