Sensorial work enticed students this week with our first unit-exploring color!  Students explored color mixing, sorting, and identification works.  Also in Sensorial, we introduced the geometric solids and also the monomial cube.  In Practical Life, table scrubbing was introduced in the West classroom as a work to lengthen and strengthen concentration, as well as engage the senses with this water work. East students began lessons with floor sweeping, a skill that will be utilized all throughout the year!  Both classes introduced stringing in Practical Life as well.  On the writing shelf, we demonstrated using the metal inset frames.  These provide the students with opportunities to refine fine motor skills as well as hand-eye coordination, all in preparation for writing.  Movement work was alos added to our shelf-rolling a heavy medicine ball!
