We would like to extend our gratitude for all of you who took the time to virtually meet with us last week.  It is very important to make sure we communicate and share information about your children.  Your child’s progress report is available on My BackPack if you still need to access it.

Our History Unit is covering information on the flag and the election. On Tuesday, we held a mock election where students had an opportunity to cast their vote for the President of the United States.  The candidates for president were: Donald Trump, Flat Stanley, Harry Potter, and Joe Biden.  Ballots received were counted.  The majority of the students voted for Joe Biden to be the president.  It will be interesting to see if the results of the student vote will reflect the outcome of the actual election.

’Tis the season for appreciating leaves as they change color and gracefully fall from the branches.  This has prompted us, as teachers, to organize and prepare our Leaf Unit for our students.  The leaf nomenclature teaches the children the parts of the leaf, including the margin, blade, and petiole.  Identification of different leaves in our area is another work the students will be exploring.
