This week our students studied the density and The Principle of Lift. Students made the perfect paper airplanes based on their understanding of how air density affects flight. On Thursday, students will have a paper airplane contest to see how far their planes will go. In biology and botany, students studied plant roots and the human heart. Students also researched and created a marketplace in Geography. While in Math, students worked on two-digit multipliers on the bead frame and square roots. We continue to work on students’ five-paragraph essays in writing.
This coming Monday will be our Native American celebration. Students have been studying tribes and will be celebrating our Lower Elementary Friends. We appreciate your help with cooking a Native American treat with your kids. For Monday, treats should be just a tiny taste, and food should be already cooked.
