Hello Parents and Families! This week we are finishing up “end of the year works”, such as things we didn’t get to study earlier this year. For example, students were offered a lesson on Multi Base systems. This entails counting by Base 5, which would have us count 1, 2, 3, 4, then “skip” 5 and move to 10. A few kids seemed interested, so we can offer this earlier next year! Otherwise, we’ve been playing a sentence analysis game. Think MadLibs, but with grammar terms they’ve learned, such as complements. Finally, the 6th year students went on their annual field trip, and this year they chose the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansville. It was creepy, yet fun, they said! We’re enjoyed our Disc Golf field trip, and the bike trip.
