Early Childhood continues with food preparation work-making bean burritos! We enjoyed this independent, multi-step process in our classrooms. In Geography, the continents of Europe and Antarctica were studied this week. Students explored some of the many cultures in each continent, as well as the maps and landmarks. In East, pins in a shaker and flower arranging were new Practical Life works. In art, students explored making symmetrical butterflies using a dropper. In West, table scrubbing was introduced. This engaging water work not only prepares and cleans our work environment, but also strengthens and lengthens the child’s concentration and coordination. West also explored a new Science unit, weather and seasons and added the exciting light table to the classroom!
